Key Responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities * 5+ yrs of extensive experience on Unix Platform Support. * UNIX: Sun Solaris, Linux (RedHat), AIX - and associated HW platforms * UNIX Volume Managers: Veritas Volume Manager, SUN ODS * Cluster products residing on UNIX platforms : Veritas Cluster Server, RAC * NIS implementation * IPMP / Bonding * Jumpstart / Kickstart * DNS / DHCP / NFS * Package creation on Solaris and RPM on Linux * Scripting - Shell/Perl * Working knowledge of EMC (or similar) enterprise storage systems and associated features: SRDF, BCV, Powerpath * Implementation of projects for the upgrade or refresh of enterprise infrastructure * Strong operational process management expertise, experience of ITIL or other IT operations * Enterprise deployment and management of Tivoli monitoring suite * Working knowledge of Veritas NetBackup Enterprise Server * Working knowledge of LDAP products (Sun One) * Working knowledge of Citrix * Working knowledge of ESX * Infrastructure deployment within Investment Banking and Trading institutions
